We have entered the new year running! I think I have come to the conclusion that 6 is a multiple of three and the 6th child is as big of a transition as 3. I used to say that if you can handle having a third child you can handle anything. I am beginning to realize that is not true. 6 is a huge transition. I can not really put my finger on why it is so much harder. We were out numbered a long time ago ;-) It is still great and we love it. On the positive side...Once I get over this one and we get back to normal, we won't have another multiple of three for 2 more kids!
I was really disappointed over Christmas break. I had huge plans to build a fence. I have been planning it for months. Christmas break came and it rained everyday but on Christmas Day and Sundays. I would have gone and worked on the fence Christmas Day but I did not think anyone would be really happy with me. The weather finally cleared up on New Years Day so I went and rented a post hole digger. It took us the morning to dig the 32 post holes. It was a lot of work but it was great to have Taylor big enough to help. He was a huge help. We spent the afternoon cementing in as many posts as we had energy and strength left to do. Sadly to say, the fence is still not finished. We have had more storms and it filled my holes with water. I have been waiting for the holes to drain. The boys and I have been putting in a few fence posts every day. We are hoping the project will be done in the next couple of weeks. Joshua will be the most excited to be able to go outside and play.
We had a fun New Years Eve. We invited another family over for a night of games. I filled up the chocolate fountain and they brought their computers. We had 6 computers playing Diablo. I know nothing about the game, but the kids seemed to have a great time. It was fun to watch all the kids and dad's playing together.

The kids are all staying busy. Taylor, Andrew, Robynn and Aimee went to visit the local Chess club this last week. They really enjoyed playing against kids their own age. I was pleasantly surprised at how the kids did. We will be going to watch a Chess tournament next week, then the kids will decide if this is something they want to do. I don't know much about it yet, but the kids really like to play Chess so I am sure you will hear lots more about it.
Aimee had her Gymnastics exposition this month. It was great to watch her. I can not believe how much she has learned. She has been blessed with a lot of natural ability. That did not come from me! She has taught Joshua how to do a somersault. That is cute to watch.

Joshua is a perfect mimic. We just love to talk to him because he repeats absolutely everything.
Isaac is already three months. He is very social, but not very cuddly. He loves to sit in his stroller and be talked to. He is very good natured and seems to already know each of the kids.

I am just amazed at each of my children. I love to watch each of them grow and learn and to see them develop into wonderful people.
