Vacation part 1

Uncle Matt was getting married so off to Boise Idaho we went.

The night before we left Isaac ran a 104 fever and did not go the bed until 5 a.m and we left at 7 a.m. Needless to say I was a little worried about the drive.
We drove straight through to Winnemucca. 5 hours. The kids did great. We were surprised to see a merry-go-round. I have not seen one of those in years.
I warned the kids that were eating lunch that merry-go-rounds, cars and lunch do not mix. Aimee learned the hard way! But at least she hit the bag;-)

We drove the next 5 1/2 hours in one stretch. The kids made it so easy. Along with a great book on CD and a portable DVD player

The kids enjoyed their stay at the hotel. Unlimited game boy time. What more could a kid want.

Waiting anxiously for her future daughter in law

The happy couple

All of Michael's siblings
The whole crew minus the grand kids

Finally my 1st sister-in-law that was not a Law to begin with

Me and my wonderful hubby...it has almost been 17 years.

The luncheon...Taylor of course snagged one of his newest cousins...Marcus

Highlights from the reception. Kissing cousins.

Cousins make the perfect friends

The next day the we had a wonderful swim party lunch. Then Melanie told us about a place a couple hours off the beaten path that we could go collect quartz crystals. Taylor has been begging to go rock hounding, so we thought it was a perfect opportunity to make one of our kids really happy. We did not know it when we took off, but the last 20 miles in was a dirt road. I was really worried when we were about 5 miles in and passed this sign.
This is when we were about 1/2 way there. We stated the dirt road in the valley in the distance

This is the last hill before we got to Silver city

This is the town of Silver City. It was cute, but I would not want to live there!

These are hills of the stuff they did not want when they were mining silver. It is full of quartz crystals. The kids had the best time
