I just sometimes have to have a good laugh at myself. This would be one of those things.
I remember going to Utah when I only had a few kids and being in awe at my sister-in-law. She would always make bread. Oh, it was good! On, one of my visits she had just bought a new wheat grinder. She told me what a great deal it was. So I convinced Michael that I needed one, (what's a Molly Mormon without her wheat grinder;-)) even thought I don't even think we owned any wheat. It sat for years. Years later, I had the opportunity to by bulk wheat. I bought 300 lbs. Poor Michael, that wheat moved 3 different houses without it even being opened.
Then it happened. I tried it. It was awful and messy and I hated it. I had a small Kitchen Aid and it could mix, but was not big enough to kneed two loaves so I had to kneed it on the counter. Did I mention how messy it was?
So last year I convinced Michael that the reason I could not make bread was because I did not have a big enough mixer, and the Kitchen Aid was putting out a lovely smell every time I tried to make bread. So last Mother's day I got my Bosch. I love it and I can turn out 5-6 loaves at once.
What I did learn is that I really do dig my own grave, so to speak. I am not passionate about making bread, but since I whined about needing all the right equipment I am stuck...umm I mean privileged to make my family homemade bread every week.

I want homemade bread. Want to take a trip to Reno? Once we move into our house that is...
That's so great, way to go Shirley!
I do the same thing...as long as it gets use eventually, right? I love that your machine does that many loves at a time...I may need to look into that! I hate doing all the work for 1-2 loaves that everyone gets 1-2 pieces of...although it always taste better :)
